Buzz Bands: Stay in the Know
Neko Case’s follow up to The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood was released this past Tuesday, March 3rd. So far I like what I hear, even if it is a little bit “more of the same” – check out the title track, “Middle Cyclone.”
Really, really, really hot mics are the theme for Nathan Williams’ studio project, Wavves. The irony is his tunes are probably better listened to lying on the couch, volume turned low with whiskey in hand. His LP is due out March 17th.
Admit it. You love how quintessentially indie this song is. Dog Day is more proof that the Canadian landscape inspires some of the most hypnotizing music out there. Their latest album, Concentration, is set for an April 2009 release.
Grizzly Bear – “While You Wait for the Others” [Live]
This is a public service announcement to remain patient until May 26th for the release of Grizzly Bear’s Veckatimest. Whatever you do, do not download the leaked version – that would be against all moral imperatives.
Here We Go Magic’s latest single is “Fangela.” In case you forgot, Luke Temple and company’s full-length LP came out on February 29th, so go pick it up. It’s Panther approved.
Yes, I realize that someone may have “beat me to the punch,” but eff it, I’m posting anyways. “The Strangers” is a track of off St. Vincent’s much anticipated album, Actor (due out May 5th).
