Commercial Madness: DeVotchka’s “How It Ends” in Gears of War 2 Commercial

The new Gears of War 2 commercial uses DeVotchka’s song “How It Ends” to make you get all tingly when thinking about blowing up aliens. I’m definitely excited about the game (yes, I’m a dork), but I do have to say that they deserve a slap on the wrist because their edit of “How It Ends” is horrific. Sorry. It is…

If the tune sounds familiar you may have heard it on the Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack or the Everything Is Illuminated trailer.

Is Gears of War cool? I’ve never played it, but I’ve heard a lot about it.
