Courtney’s Pink, Teddy-Bear Shaped Box

Although Senior Correspondent JD has not picked a lame pseudonym like the rest of us, we still allow him to write for us. Recently, he wrote to inform us of some Courtney Love ridiculousness.

Dear Stranger Dance,

Red Alert! Courtney Love is reporting that Kurt Cobain’s ashes have been stolen! Love apparently kept the ashes in a “pink teddy bear-shaped bag along with a lock of his hair.” This whole thing seems a bit fishy as the ashes were stolen in LA and the first report of this was in the British tabloids. I for one am hoping that she didn’t go all Keith Richards and snort the remains while she was all smacked out.

I mean there must be a better place to put the remains of one of the greatest musicians of our time than a pink teddy bear bag — couldn’t you use a urn? Even Donnie got a nice coffee can.

Anyways, hopefully Courtney’s suicidal state will pass and she can focus on acting like this or letting someone steal Kurt’s identity and all his money to buy a three million dollar house in New Jersey. Man, with a track record like that it’s amazing that she actually held on to the ashes this long.

Oh well Courtney, I guess you will just have to wait for the Cobain Converses that you signed off on to have something to remember Kurt by. I bet he would have really loved these guys, especially since we all know how fond he was of being exploited for corporate gain.

Here is something for everyone else to remember Kurt by if you can’t afford $200 sneakers:

Warm Regards,

JD
