Covers project: Marissa Nadler’s Folk Renditions

Marissa Nadler

Credit is due to Wears the Trousers for this little collection of covers from the bewitching Marissa Nadler. The folk songstress casts shades of neo-folk on both the classic and contemporary, bringing her ethereal grace and quavering vocals to songs originally performed by Bob Dylan, Kris Kristofferson, John Lennon, Radiohead, Bright Eyes, etc. Helping her out on two renditions is Black Hole Infinity (Myles Baer), a longtime collaborator.

Marissa Nadler’s latest, Little Hells, is out now on Kemado Records, and can be purchased here and via the standard digital outlets.

Covers:

Marissa Nadler – “For the Good Times” (Kris Kristofferson)
Marissa Nadler – “Jealous Guy” (John Lennon)
Marissa Nadler – “Our Mother the Mountain” (Townes Van Zandt)
