And considering our site’s name, you might guess we’re more than just a little bit excited about their seventh full-length effort. In other words, it gives us a nice excuse to post the album’s teaser video below…

Wait a minute, let me get this straight… A free EP from Alabama’s Vulture Whale features the band singing in fake British accents? I’m surprised how fast I forgot about the whole “concept” of it and got lost in how great of a knock off it really was. As Altsounds put it, Vulture Whale is “the best American band pretending to be a British band influenced by American music since Guided By Voices.”

White Antelope, solo project of Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold, has already made a name for itself with some very solid covers. So it’s no surprise that his take on Joan Baez’s “Silver Dagger” is the most stunning track yet.
