[Locals Only is a regular feature where the Stranger Dance staff focus on the best and brightest of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. Feel free to hit us up with any information on local bands, musicians, shows, and other music-related events and projects.]

This week, some excellent acts will be featured here in the Bay, including some Stranger Dance favorites: Emily Jane White, Leopold and His Fiction, Throw Me the Statue, My First Earthquake, Fanfarlo, Red Wire Black Wire, Harbours, and The Dodos. Full list of shows + MP3s after the jump.

Tuesday, September 15th:

  • Chris Garneau, Christina Courtin, Emily Jane White at Cafe du Nord. Doors at 7:30, show at 8:30, $12, 21+.

Wednesday, September 16th:

  • Pete Bernhard (Devil Makes Three), Leopold and His Fiction, Erin Brazill at the Rickshaw Stop. 8:00, $8, all ages.
  • Yourself and the Air, Excuses for Skipping, Mister Loveless at Bottom of the Hill. Doors at 8:30, show at 9:00, $8/advance, $10/door, 21+.
  • The Love Language, All Smiles (ex-Grandaddy), Odawas at Cafe du Nord. Doors at 7:30, show at 8:30, $10, 21+.

Thursday, September 17th:

  • The Brunettes, Throw Me the Statue, My First Earthquake at the Rickshaw Stop. 8:00, $12, all ages.
  • Fanfarlo, Red Wire Black Wire, and DJs Aaron and Miles at Popscene. 10:00, $10, 18+.
  • Rademacher, Young Hunting, the Gold Medalists at the Hemlock. 9:00, $7, 21+.
  • The Fresh and Onlys, Thee Oh Sees, Wooden Shjips at the Eagle (Thursday Night Live).
  • Chairlift, Magic Bullets, El Ten Eleven at Bottom of the Hill. Doors at 8:30, show at 9:00, $15, all ages.

Friday, September 18th:

  • Timber Timbre, Harbours at the Rickshaw Stop. 6:00, $10, all ages.
  • The Dodos at Amoeba Records. 6:00, free, all ages.
  • The Music Lovers (one of their last shows as a band), Tom Heyman at the Make-Out Room. 7:30, $7, 21+.

Saturday, September 19th:
