Locals Only: Shows This Week, 6/03-07

It’s show time, friends and foes. Here’s what’s happening this week in terms of local shows featuring local bands.
All acts listed are Bay Area-based unless noted otherwise (in parenthesis).
Wednesday, June 3rd:
- The Rumble! Monthly indie dance party at Harlot. DJ sets by Bagel Ted and Yoni Wolf of Why? (live show sets by Band of Skulls and Apteka). 8:00 p.m., 21+, free with RSVP, $5 otherwise. Presented by the Owl Mag, Future Sounds, Stranded in Stereo, and SonicLiving.
- Penny Arcade 4th Anniversary showcase, featuring the Junior Panthers, the Aerosols, Eric Shea, Pancho-san, and Dusty DiMercurio at the Make-Out Room. 8:00 p.m., 21+. Presented by the SF Bay Guardian
Thursday, June 4th:
- Geographer and Birds & Batteries (opening for Clues, ex-Arcade Fire and Unicorns) at the Rickshaw Stop. 8:00 p.m., $12, all ages.
- The Music Lovers and Karina Denike at the Make-Out Room. 7:30 p.m., $7, 21+.
Friday, June 5th:
- A B & the Sea [SD feature] (with Bodies of Water, opening for the Submarines) at the Independent. 9:00 p.m., $13/advance, $15/door, 21+. Presented by Mr. Roboto Presents.
Saturday, June 6th:
- Built for the Sea and Or, the Whale (with the Maldives) at the Independent. Presented by the Bay Bridged.
Sunday, June 7th:
- Rogue Wave and Adam Stephens of Two Gallants at the Independent. 6:00 p.m., $18/$20/$35. 4th Annual D.A. Taylor Charitable Foundation Benefit.
