Album: My Old, Familiar Friend
Sample: “Feel Like Taking You Home”
The fourth solo full-length album from the sometime Raconteur was produced by Gil Norton and will be released on ATO Records. We previewed the album a few months ago.

Album: Watch Me Fall
Sample: “It Ain’t Gonna Save Me”
Hyper-prolific weirdo Jay Lindsey/Reatard is surprisingly releasing only his second solo album and first with Matador.
Reatard described the album as more melodic and twee-inspired, featuring “organ, some mandolins, a cello, a lot more back-ups and harmonies… [I've] become a little bit more about the melodies… I think I stripped away a layer of the fuzz; I might have been challenging people before to find them and this time I might be making them a little bit more obvious.”

Album: Welcome Joy
Sample: “Beach House”
Seattle’s indie-folkers Cave Singers released their sophomore effort, Welcome Joy on Matador.

Album: Bay of Pigs [Vinyl-only EP]
Sample: “Bay of Pigs” (Streaming)
Daniel Bejar’s latest EP features only two long songs. The title track is the longest Destroyer song to date, and according to the Merge Records site, also “Destroyer’s first foray into the ambient disco market.” B-side “Ravers” is described as exploring “some of the more meditative realms of 20th Century classical composition.”

Album: King of Jeans
Sample: “False Jesii Part 2″
American noise rock/grunge band from Allentown, PA releases their third album on Sub Pop.
