Solid point, but I still say that there isn’t much filler.

I count 31 bands that I’m actually interested in seeing, and 14 that I’m really excited about. I’d still only be paying $18 per band to see those 14, the rest would be gravy.

Damn, I’m starting to actually believe my rationalization…

How much is it per band that you actually want to see?

If you go to the Great American and pay $18 but there are three bands on the bill, you’re not actually spending $6/ band, you’re most likely spending $18 on one band and happen to see the other ones. The value-added for those opening bands is usually pretty small.

C’mon man, it’s a little more than a “radiohead concert” – there are more than three dozen bands on the list now, and very little filler. Even the smaller name acts like the Coup are damn good live (one of the best live acts I’ve ever seen).
