Man Man on Pitchfork.tv [Hipster Heaven]

Pitchfork.tv debuted the other day, and it’s pretty damn impressive. The quality is so good it makes you realize how bad youtube is immediaitely crystal, and they’ve got great exclusive content (Radiohead, Liars, Beach House, Jay Reatard, etc.).

Says Pitchfork:

“The first-ever music video channel dedicated to documenting independent music as it happens. As a visual extension of the music coverage Pitchfork has provided for more than a decade, and a means of updating and advancing the music television format, the online channel will bring you closer to the artists you love, through original mini-documentaries, secret rooftop and basement sessions, full concerts, exclusive interviews, and the most carefully curated selection of music videos online.”

Although the content is pretty limited at this point (<20 videos), the quality of both content and video has left me encouraged.

“Daytripping with Man Man”

As a bonus, here are two excellent slices of Man Man (that just sounds wrong…). The first is the first released track from their upcoming album, Rabbit Habits. The second is their less-than-tender take on one of my all-time favorite songs, “I’d Rather Go Blind” (originally by Etta James).

Goodbye TV… it’s been fun, but now my computer does everything.

Heh, I just found out I can hook my computer up to my new HDTV. Now I can keep watching TV, but get all of the content from the internets.

That mustache scares me. I hate hipsters.

They’re pretty ridiculously hipster. I can get past the mustache, but that mullet is pretty aggressive.

Either way, I still dig ‘em. Their entire new album is great.
