Spoonapalooza: Happy Spoon Day
I normally try to keep my band crushes in check for the sake of objectivity and all that. But, today is not a normal day. No, I get to see my favorite band tonight. Spoon is playing it’s final of three shows at the Fillmore tonight, and I plan to be there when they open the doors and will remain front and center for the duration of the evening.
To honor this special evening, here’s a veritable smörgåsbord of Spoon, including guest appearances on the brilliant Black Cab Sessions (if you haven’t seen this before, wait until you have a solid 30-60 minutes to devote to it, it’s really that good), the always amazing Morning Becomes Eclectic, the amusing Cooking with Rock Stars and some general YouTube oddness. Enjoy.

That does it for Spoon arcana, but here are a few videos to round things out.

If all this somehow hasn’t sated all of your Spoon-related needs, head over to Hippies are Dead where they have reviews of the past two nights shows and great photos.
Word is that Britt & co. brought a horn section, some new songs, choice covers and a lot of energy to the first few nights.
