TV on the Radio Reveals Album Name, Tracklist, Tour
Details have finally emerged about a new album, Dear Science, due to be released in the US on September 23 via Interscope (the rest of the world gets it a day earlier via 4AD).
The tracklist for the long-awaited follow-up to the epic Return to Cookie Mountain (my favorite album of 2006 by a landslide), appeared in a Blender.com article and was confirmed by the band’s publicist and website.
TVotR have also added additional dates to their North American tour, now pushing into November. (Full dates here.) At the risk of sounding like I’m gushing, their show at the FIllmore last year is on a very short list for the best concert I’ve ever seen. I can’t recommend checking them out enough. Bay Area readers will get a chance to catch TVotR at this year’s Treasure Island Festival in September.
Dear Science tracklist:
- Halfway Home
- Crying
- Dancing Choose
- Stork & Owl
- Golden Age
- Family Tree
- Red Dress
- Love Dog
- Shout Me Out
- DLZ
- Lover’s Day
MP3s:
TV on the Radio – “Dirtywhirl”TV on the Radio – “Staring at the Sun”
TV on the Radio – “Modern Romance” [Yeah Yeah Yeahs cover]

That’s one creepy version of “Modern Romance.” Then again, I guess the original was creepy.
