To further demonstrate the festival’s sheer notoriety and influence, media evidence of SxSW 2009 continues to emerge, despite the fact that the events of this year have come and gone.

England’s Fanfarlo made several appearances at this year’s SxSW, in both official and unofficial sense and at the traditional Austin venues. As it turns out, the quirky bunch also performed a Takeaway-style show, as captured and produced by Hooves on the Turf’s Secret Garden video series.

For this video, Fanfarlo were led out to a more secluded spot by a house near Red House Pizzeria on Day 3 of the festival, and were subsequently filmed as they performed “Finish Line,” “Luna,” and “Comets.” The band’s lush, multi-instrumental indie pop translates beautifully to this rustic setting.

Fanfarlo’s debut album, Reservoir, is out now, and can be purchased via the band’s website.
